Dear
IDU,
|
 |
I am an AA Roadside Patrol and I have
just managed to successfully appeal
a Stage 3 disciplinary against my dismissal
and could not have done it without the
help and support of my IDU Representative,
Tony Dunne.
We believed that I was being unfairly
treated and together we managed to convince
the responsible manager at my appeal
that the AA disciplinary procedures
had not been correctly followed. I am
very grateful to Tony for his support
and advice and for speaking up for me
at both my disciplinary hearing and
my subsequent appeal hearing.
Tony's knowledge and experience of the
disciplinary processes and procedures
was invaluable and he helped me get
through the stress of the whole experience,
which occurred through the middle of
the Christmas period and therefore took
2 months to resolve.
Thanks again.

To
Whom it May Concern,
|
 |
I would like to convey my thanks to
one of your Union Representatives AA
Patrol Tony Dunne. Recently I have undergone
a very traumatic month after being suspended
pending a disciplinary hearing. Without
Tony's commitment and understanding
the prospect of a disciplinary hearing
would have undoubtedly been a daunting
process, and with this in mind clarified
a positive outcome. Through this, I
have realised the importance of subscribing
to the IDU, and therefore I would like
you to recognise my gratitude for Tony's
time, effort and support.

Dear
IDU,
|
 |
I would like to pass on my thanks to
two dedicated hard working union reps
(Sharon Tomlinson & Steve Millman).
Their help at my Stage 3 hearing and
appeal was first class. Their behind
the scenes work, advice and guidance
resulted in a positive outcome for me,
without their support I would have been
unemployed for the first time in 24
years. They are a credit to the IDU
and the union movement in general.

Dear
IDU,
|
 |
I
wish to forward my gratitude and thanks
to the IDU and especially your representative,
Sean Scott. I had to attend a disciplinary
on the 3rd September in which Sean represented
me. I was very impressed with his dedication
to the IDU. and your members. I am convinced
that without his knowledge and hard
work, the outcome of my disciplinary
would have been very different. He acted
in a very professional and friendly
way which made this worrying time a
lot easier for me.
Sean is a credit to the IDU team but
more importantly he is a credit to his
members.
Thanks once again for all your help
and keep up the good work
Yours sincerely,
Adrian Plummer

Dear
IDU,
|
 |
I
would like to express my sincere thanks
to Ian Allen for his help and support
over the past 5 months. The DVLA were
revoking my HGV driving licence due
to an illness that I suffered in 2006.
Without the help and assistance I received,
I would not be working as a Recovery
Patrol today. Thank you for getting
my life back.

Dear
Ian [@ IDU,
|
 |
Ian,
I have had a meeting today to resolve
several issues. Chris Thompson the IDU
rep was present. He did a great job
and was most professional in his approach,
resulting in securing concessions from
Management. Please pass on my thanks, and
I am very impressed with the standard
of representation that I received.
Regards,
John.

Dear
AADU
|
 |
I
have just taken early retirement after
thirty one years as a Patrol and would
like to pass on my thanks to all the
union staff for their help over that
time. This decision was brought about
by the methods that Mr Parker has used
to try to ensure that he gets a nice
little bonus when the company is sold
on.
The AA is not the company it once was,
and in my opinion if it was not for
the union we would all be in a worse
position than we are now. I would recommend
that anyone who is not a member should
join, you never know when you might
need them.
Thanks
Tom Wilson

Dear
AADU
|
 |
"Just to
advise you that I will be leaving the
AA on the 10th of April of this year
after failing to gain the 18k because
I was to good at membership etc and
failing to get the secret 12k as I was
too good at doing my job.
At least they have agreed to give me
the 3k for working the PBC contract
for 10 days.
I
just wanted to thank you for all the
hard work you have put in to making
life better for us patrols and would
strongly recommend anyone who is not
in the union to join.
Many
thanks for your commitment to the job
Paul"

Paul,
Thank
you very much for your email. Comments
like yours are always much appreciated.
I would like to wish you all the very
best for your future outside the AA and
would ask if it would be ok for me to
put your comments on the website.

Dear
Sarah
|
 |
This is to commend
the AADU for their actions and participation
in my recent Stage 3 Disciplinary Hearing,
which took place today at Room 7, Apollo
Rise, Southwood, Farnborough. Hants.
The outcome of the Hearing, I was given
a ¨Final Warning¨.
I
would really like to commend your representative
Mr. Peter Jenner, without his
commitment, Dedication and the time
he took to involve himself, I am sure
that I would not have had a job to go
back to. He is truly a very experienced
person in his role with the Union and
we as members of the AADU should feel
very proud to have a representative
as professional as him.
Once again, thank you and please pass
this letter of gratitude along to all
concerned.

I would like to
thank you on behalf of the AADU for taking
the time to write to us regarding the
representation you received from
Pete Jenner.
Quiet
often people are quick to complain about
the union often forgetting our union reps
are volunteers who carry out a great deal
of union work in their own time, but are
not so quick to acknowledge the hard work
the reps do.
It
is extremely refreshing to receive a letter
such as yours and I have forwarded this
onto Pete who I am sure will be very pleased.
Once
again, thank you for your correspondence.
